Senior Merchandiser/ Merchandiser - High-End Furniture, Large US Retailers

We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser and/or Merchandiser to manage our mid-high end US retail client Arhaus with potential to work with other similar level clients as well. A high level of English skill is required and Chinese language skills are a big plus! The majority of the products will be case goods, however there may also be some outdoor and upholstery products as well.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• sourcing appropriate suppliers based on customer inquiries
• managing product development and costing
• collaborating with clients and suppliers
• negotiating purchasing terms and costs to fulfill buyer requirements
• interfacing with customers and vendors/factories, assessing and selecting potential suppliers based on capability and facilities
• monitoring on-time delivery and preparing itineraries for buyer visits.
• Managing a small team of merchandisers and support staff

Applicants should have:

• a minimum of five years of experience in sourcing/merchandising for trading/agency companies, with a focus on the US market and high end furniture a big plus.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading) is essential.
• A university/college degree is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate commitment and dedication to the job, willingness to travel for business trips (both local and international)
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work effectively in a team, a strong sense of responsibility, and adaptability to work under pressure and handle challenging tasks.
• Chinese language skill is a big plus!
