Responsibilities
- Review, analyze requirements and specifications to understand project scope and identify potential test scenarios
- Design, organize and maintain test cases, test plans and test data
- Execute testing for web and mobile apps across various devices and browsers
- Design, implement and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile apps built with React and React Native
- Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline (e.g. CircleCI), ensuring seamless execution with every code change
- Monitor automated test runs, triage failures, and log reproducible issues
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and QC peers to ensure high test coverage and fast feedback loops
- Maintain and improve existing tests for scalability and reliability
- Promote best practices in test automation and contribute to process improvement
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a Senior Automation Test Engineer role specifically focused on a large-scale e-commerce platform or high-volume consumer-facing application.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
- Extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks such as: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium (for mobile). API Automation: Postman, Rest Assured
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, BDD, TDD).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative, globally distributed team.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with LambdaTest for cross-browser and cross-device testing at scale
- Knowledge of performance or load testing tools
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
