RESPONSIBILITES
- Research anddevelop Legacy Modernization solutions using COBOL, RPG, and moderntechnologies such as Cloud computing, DevOps, Microservices, andContainerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Advise andimplement Legacy system transformation solutions to modern platforms, includingmigration methodologies, design patterns for legacy applications.
- Survey and designsystem architecture for Legacy Modernization projects, including integrationwith modern systems and performance optimization.
- Conductrequirement analysis and design tool application migration and data migrationsolutions for legacy applications and databases.
- Provide trainingand technical support for development teams on Legacy technology and newtechniques related to modernizing legacy systems.
- Collaborate withtop-tier Legacy technology experts on large-scale transformation projects worthmillions to hundreds of millions of USD.
- Develop and refine methodologies, strategies, and tools toassist in migrating applications and databases from Mainframe to modern systems
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience working with Mainframe systems,particularly COBOL, RPG and PL/I application development in legacyenvironments.
- Knowledge of Mainframe technologies, including z/OS (IBM), VOS3(HITACHI), OSIV/MSP (FUJITSU), ACOS (NEC), DB2, IMS, and development tools forCOBOL/RPG/PLI/ASM/JCL.
- Experience in developing migration methodologies, including applyingdesign patterns to Mainframe Modernization projects.
- Experience in designing and implementing tool application migration anddata migration from legacy systems to new platforms, including cloud andmicroservices.
- Understanding of modern technologies such as Cloud computing, DevOps,Microservices, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizingand transforming Mainframe systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adviseand lead technical teams.
- Proficiency in English/Japanese (communicationand technical document writing)

- Adaptability to new technologies, particularly in applying moderntechnologies to support legacy system modernization.
