Vestas Asia Pacific provides both sales and service of wind power plants in Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, and more recently in the emerging countries across South East Asian countries such as Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia.
In the Service Department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants.
Responsibilities
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible to engage in the operation and maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and the supervision and coordination of one or more wind farms sites.
- Daily site reporting to the Site Manager
- Manage general daily on-site issues, reporting and work site deliverables
- Plan and prepare of site work rosters and schedules; managing and updating these in SAP
- Manage and co-ordinate with on-site personnel (Service Technicians) to ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently and in a timely manner
- Liaise and co-ordinate with on-site Customer representatives and Subcontractors
- Present the Site Induction to all Vestas on-site personnel, subcontractors and visitors
- Ensure Quality, OH&S and Environmental requirements (including reporting and record keeping) for the site are being maintained and complied with by onsite personnel and Subcontractors
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and daily work team briefings, manage daily task management board
- Review and approve time sheets, expense reports, leave requests, overtime requests and travel requests
- Plan and manage resources, tools and equipment needed for turbines operation
- Participate in interface meetings with clients, vessel providers, and other contractors to ensure that information and assignments are aligned between parties.
Qalifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in supervising, leading team members for planning and management of a site
- Experience in maintenance operations and leadership in 5S and Lean activities
- Experience in offshore & intertidal operations
- Familiar with vessel & barge operations and with elevated lifting operations
- Manage sub-contractors (if applicable for the sites); Manage and report of budgetary requirements
- Experience providing service with direct customer interface in following industry such as wind industry, heavy machinery industry, construction, rotating machinery, chemical refinery, petroleum, shipyard/ship repair, marine industry
- Experience in stressful conditions in operations/service management environment
Competencies
- Proficient people management, project management and coordination skills
- Supervisory skills in the mechanical, electrical, and electronics domain
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Team leadership and supervision skills to maintain service standards to company and contractual requirements
- Understanding and intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to similar software programs
- Skills to operate effectively in a new and different culture, working in remote wind farm sites, and have track record in integrating cross-culturally with local team
- English language: at least business-level fluency (speaking, reading, writing);Possess a valid driving license
