We have an opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join our regional team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
About the Role:
As a Technical Service Engineer, you will operate and optimize water treatment systems (RO, boiler, cooling, wastewater), support plant operations, conduct lab testing, and provide technical reports. You’ll work closely with operations teams to ensure system efficiency and service excellence.
What the Role Involves:
- Provide routine service support to Account Manager in accounts in assigned territories to execute agreed upon services and value creation agreed with customer.
- Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives.
- Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required.
- Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
- Actively support Solenis innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with Solenis.
What You’ll Bring to Us:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in industrial water treatment, utilities, or technical service across sectors such as Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, or General Manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of cooling towers, boilers, reverse osmosis (RO), and wastewater systems, including chemical treatment programs and plant operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with plant personnel, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience supporting program start-ups, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in partnership with Account Managers or Engineers.
- Competent in preparing technical reports and using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel within Ho Chi Minh City and to other regions as required.
- Flexibility to stay at customer sites in remote areas for up to 1–2 weeks when business needs arise.
