JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize the Long Stay business for the hotel.
- Responsible for matters pertaining to Long Stay guests; establish good rapport with them to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Leading the Sales team to implement and develop sales plans and goals for the team in order to achieve and exceed the given target by the management.
- Develop a plan to expand the new target market and acquisition new accounts for the hotel.
- Represent the hotel at key networking & industrial events in town to increase brand image & awareness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, rules and regulations; provide guidance and assistance to the Sales Team on how to comply with the policies whenever necessary.
- Support the Sales Team to handle demanding clients, difficult cases, complicated contracts, and complaints.
- Assist DOSM in the annual budget and the preparation for the annual Reserved Rates Proposal.
- Assist in matters pertaining to Company Audit.
- Prepare periodic sales reports as required by DOSM and the management.
- Obtain weekly and monthly competitors’ performance and keep a close eye on competitors’ activities such as special promotions/service, refurbishment, new hotel opening, etc and keep the management posted in a timely manner for any necessary reaction.
- Stay alert to the hotel industry trend, market situation and economic factors impacting the industry.
- Develop rates strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations.
- Fulfill duties/ad hoc projects as assigned by the Head of S&M.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel industry or relevant qualification
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in hotel/ serviced apartment industry
- Good leadership skill set
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/ marketing/ hospitality profession
- Good command in both speaking and writing in English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good presentation and public speaking skills
