Role Overview
Strategic
- Market Research and Customer Network Expansion: Conduct market research and expand the customer network to develop and implement appropriate business strategies for the FDI customer group.
- Team Building and Development: Build and develop a team to achieve the organization's common goals.
- Risk Identification, Control, and Mitigation: Identify, control, and mitigate business risks.
Strategic
- Leading and developing strong talents of Relationship Manager and supports in FDI Department, having strong industry expertise, business acumen, competency in building strategic relationships with target clients.
- Formulating strategic plan, developing deep industry expertise, defining/ refining business model, initiative roadmap, and business execution plan
- Segments the market to identify the target sectors and clients; proactively assess, analyze market condition and trend to identify growth opportunities and challenges in your coverage region.
- Represents OCB and be accountable for business development, service, risk and operational delivery of OCB products and services to clients.
- Works with Head of FDI to set targets, works with the team to execute on the immediate to mid-term strategy.
- Build and broaden client coverage with FDI who are inbound investors into VN.
- Engage relevant product office & credit to create new products and modify existing products to meet client demands.
- Build and maintain productive and strategic relationship with client top directors to retain business and capture new business opportunities.
- Proactively initiate actions, follow up, look for innovative ideas to ensure superior client service delivery to target clients to deepen client wallet share across muti-products.
- Drive performance results across FDI clients; own P&L and deliver growth in your coverage region by close collaboration with all stakeholders and products.
- Coordinate and consolidate target settings with all stakeholders by deep analysis on FDI portfolio; and report performance progress to higher management lines.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as legal advisors, consultants, and industry associations.
- Manage function performance; attract, onboard and retain the right talents for a high-performing team. Establish and communicate function and individual KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations.
- Define team’s capability requirements and enable team member’s professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, mentoring, etc.
- Motivate and recognize team members’ contributions towards the team’s shared goals
- Monitor FDI portfolio risks to minimize any adverse impact of the financial performance; ensure that all business risks are managed and reported / escalated as appropriate.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of corporate coverage banking experience in Vietnam
- Deep understanding of foreign investment landscape and future trend.
- Demonstrated business leadership skills, having handled complex geographies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
- Excellent communication skill in both English and Vietnamese
- Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
- Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at function level
- Broad and extensive knowledge of corporate banking products and services.
