PURPOSE
- Key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
- Manage the tooling creation & tooling manufacturing process within the assigned factory with focus on lead time and quality. Ensure adidas innovation technologies and processes are implemented in all factories that he / she is responsible for.
- Drive manufacturing efficiency improvement projects through implementation at Tier 1 factory and mold shop / component supplier.
- Support Product Creation Technologies in future technology, policy development and update.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Manage tooling creation and tooling manufacturing lead time and quality within the assigned factory considerate of production source.
- Consult and participate in Liaison Office Costing team in tooling costing process. Liable for submitting theoretical weight and verifying cycle time for outsole.
- Shorten tooling creation and manufacturing lead time with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and forecasting & planning tools.
- Implement tooling data security, monitor and maintain tooling data security throughout all Tier1 and Tier2 facilities at factor(ies) of assignment.
- Ensure Tier1 tooling data is updated and available in the regional tooling data management system.
- Implement tooling creation & tooling manufacturing technologies.
- Grow full understanding of all tooling supplier capabilities in Vietnam and China.
- Develop in collaboration with Industrial Engineer, Tier1, Tier2, Liaison Office and Machinery Vendors manufacturing technologies and processes that improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency. (E.g., Assembly processes, bonding systems, stitching automation, etc.)
- Implement new manufacturing technologies at Tier1 and Tier2 through completion of research, benefit analysis, best practice documentation and successful completion of pilot trials.
- Advise Brand, Tier1 & Tier2 team on technical and tooling related issues.
- Assist Regional PCT & Tooling, Asia on PCT documents creation, implement and provide operations feedback to enhance the best practices, policies, guideline, standards effectives.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong technical knowledge of tooling design, engineering and manufacturing, CAD & CAM. RT and RP are a plus.
- Good technical footwear knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods.
- Good knowledge in lean manufacturing principles, process automation
- Strong presentation, negotiation, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in multidimensional teams.
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in engineering or related areas
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
