Planning Lead - MPSSection
Customer Service & Logistics Department Supply Chain
Supply planning process aims to identify, prioritize and aggregate supply resources for an OpCo, based on demand plan and customer requirements.
It supports overall inventory planning for finished goods and allows the alignment of inventory targets to service levels while reducing overall working capital.
Supply planning Lead - MPS gives a reliable outlook on inventory of finished goods at brewery level across planning horizons.
Supply planning Lead - MPS reports to the Supply Planning Manager - Networking.
Supply planning Lead - MPS must comply with the Planning standards and procedures and is responsible for the creation of weekly Production plan (rolling 26 weeks). Supply planning Lead - MPS follow the process of Supply planning fundamentals in HEINEKEN: Master Data, Inventory Optimization, Service Level Agreement.
The scope of activities is defined as follows:
Short term (Operational horizon):
- Weekly production plan (Rolling 26 weeks), Repack plan of some SKUs produced in breweries & import, export FGs and new products
- FGs stock level/ Product availability/ Obsolete of FGs product deployment & improvement actions.
- Projects assigned by line manager.
Long term (Tactical horizon):
- Inventory management (Safety stock level of SKUs), SKU EOQ per brewery, Monthly/ Weekly overhaul plan per brewery.
- Capacity planning (Demand allocation, production lines technical parameters, working calendar…).
- Supply network planning.
Key user of ESP system (Blue Yonder).
- Key contact for solving issues from ESP system.
- Key contact to global support team to solve system issue.
- Training for end user.

In the execution of his/her daily tasks, the Planning Lead - MPS interacts with various internal stakeholders: Production, Scheduling, Demand Planning, NPI Coordinator, Marketing, Logistics (Warehousing and Distribution), Customer Service.

Prepare, monitor and update supply plans (inventory, production plans, master data) optimizing supply chain resources in order to guarantee the availability of finished products in line with the agreed service level and inventory strategies.

Results
Supply and Production Planning
Generate feasible supply plans (including inventory), in line with business plan, budget, demand plan and main bottle necks in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
Reliable supply plans with clear explanation on underlying assumptions.
Updating plans
Analyse and update (if required) the production and supply plans in the short time frame, balancing production and material constraints and required service levels, because of any changes to the plan, involving relevant stakeholders.
Critical short notice changes are reflected in supply plans.
Scenario Analysis
Generate and discuss alternative scenarios on the supply plan for the S&OP process, with clearly listed assumptions and risk assessment on volume and cost.
Insight in consequences, possibilities, and bottlenecks in the supply planning.
Supply and Production planning process
Coordinate and monitor the supply planning processes, considering the interdependencies with demand planning, brewing, scheduling, material planning and NPI activities.
Lead Weekly Demand & Supply Review meeting.
Lead the Supply Review preparation and contribute to the Supply Review meeting by delivering timely and accurate information.
Processes run smoothly and are well aligned with other processes in- and outside the company.
Monitoring Planning Parameters
Identify gaps between actual and required performance, discuss and update planning parameters accordingly (OPI, stock levels, lot size, system master data).
Keep update parameters to ensure capacity planning is up to date.
Key contact point to work with local and global support teams to solve system issue.
Lead improvement project related to ESP system.
Improved planning performance.
TPM and Continuous Improvement
Initiate, implement and embed improvements to production and supply planning processes and procedures and supports TPM initiatives.
Reduced losses (TPM)
Improved processes and procedures.
Management Information
Provide clear and accurate information on supply planning performance.
Management information provides insight in performance and enables stakeholders to make decisions and determine or adjust strategy.
Communication
Communicate the various plans and their impact to relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholders are timely informed to take appropriate action.
Knowledge and Experience
Description / Guideline
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Higher Degree in Logistics, Finance, Business Administration.
Experiences/skills
- At least 3-5 years of experiences in similar roles, preferably in one or more of following areas: Supply Chain Planning, Scheduling (both Brewing and Packaging), Logistics (Warehousing and Distribution).
- Valued Supply Planning and Scheduling tools experience (Optimization tools e.g. JDA/Infor/Blue Yonder).
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical skills and attention to details.
- Ability to convince present facts and figures.
- Capability of using advanced planning tools.
- Good communication and influencing skills.
Languages
Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English
