About the Role
Secomapp is looking for a Social & Community Building Specialist to help grow our Shopify app’s presence across social platforms and eCommerce communities.
In this role, you’ll contribute to our app product - one leading affiliate marketing solution - to be seen and trusted — especially on LinkedIn, Reddit, Shopify forums,and other spaces where merchants and partners are active. You’ll shape community engagement, build conversations, and help create social content and campaigns that feel genuine, helpful, and worth sharing.
This is a creative, hands-on role with room to grow — ideal for someone who’s excited about brand storytelling, social strategy, and connecting with real merchants.
You’ll work closely with our Content and Partnership teams and report to the Marketing Lead. This role gives you the chance to learn, experiment, and make a real impact on how a top Shopify app connects with its audience.
Key Responsibilities1. Community Engagement & Advocacy
Shape our app presence across key Shopify-related communities with a focus on trust-building and visibility.
- Actively represent our app in Shopify-related and eCommerce communities such as Reddit, the Shopify Community Forum, Discord groups, and Facebook groups
- Join relevant conversations, provide helpful insights, and build genuine relationships with merchants, Shopify Experts, and potential partners
- Keep track of what people are saying in these communities to spot opportunities for engagement, gather feedback, or increase brand visibility
- Encourage and support our merchants to speak positively about our product, helping strengthen our reputation as a trusted, helpful brand in the affiliate marketing space
2. Social Branding & Organic Visibility
Drive brand presence on professional platforms — especially LinkedIn — through strategic content and positioning.
- Build and manage social presence and content strategy across LinkedIn and other key channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to turn insights, updates, and success stories into compelling content
- Strengthen our app’s visibility by engaging with trusted voices, including Shopify Experts and B2B influencers
- Ensure a consistent brand voice, tone, and positioning across all social channels
3. Campaigns That Spark Engagement & Sharing
Design and launch initiatives that inspire conversation, encourage referrals, and spotlight Secomapp’s product impact.
- Plan creative social campaigns that generate user-generated content (UGC) and organic reach
- Highlight real merchant stories and partnership successes in engaging, shareable formats
- Experiment with messaging and formats to optimize campaign performance and brand visibility
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in community, social, or brand engagement roles (preferably in SaaS, B2B, or eCommerce)
- Proven experience building and growing online communities (e.g.Reddit, Discord, Shopify forums, Facebook & private groups)
- Strong familiarity with managing professional platforms — especially LinkedIn
- Familiarity with review platforms such as G2, Capterra is a plus
- Excellent written English — clear, professional, and adaptable to different audiences
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with room for experimentation
- Based in Hanoi
Nice to have: Experience with Canva (or similar tools) is a plus.
