Position Overview: We’re hiring a motivated and results-oriented Business Development & Global Partnerships Associate to join our growing team in Vietnam. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting our global expansion by identifying, reaching out to, and managing initial conversations with potential IP partners—including publishers, content studios, and original creators. You’ll work closely with the CEOs of the company to build our sales pipeline, book key meetings, and help facilitate the progression of new partner pilots. You’ll also be encouraged to discover and use the latest tools—especially AI-powered ones—to optimize outreach, lead generation, and relationship-building.
In addition to outreach and partnerships, we’re looking for someone who can build scalable, tech-powered business development systems. This includes designing and deploying AI agents, experimenting with automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Zapier, Apollo, Notion AI, LinkedIn AI), and implementing repeatable processes that improve lead generation, outreach personalization, and sales tracking. You should be excited to blend creativity and technology to scale what one person can do into the work of many.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead and manage outbound outreach campaigns to a growing list of target IP partners (comic publishers, animation studios, game developers, creative platforms, etc.).
Craft and send compelling, personalized cold emails and LinkedIn messages to key decision-makers.
Meticulously track leads, follow-ups, meetings, and outcomes in a CRM (e.g., Notion, Airtable).
Assist in preparing tailored sales presentations and proposal decks for potential partners.
Book meetings and manage calendar coordination efficiently with our U.S.-based leadership team.
Proactively identify warm introduction opportunities via mutual connections or shared professional networks.
Collaborate with the wider StoryCo team to refine sales messaging, test new outreach tactics, and share market feedback.
Join occasional calls with potential partners to take detailed notes and support effective follow-up actions.
Requirements:
Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) with an aptitude for professional correspondence.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Self-motivated, resilient, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
Demonstrated experience with AI tools or automation platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Apollo, Zapier, LinkedIn AI) to support outreach, research, or operational scale.
Strong ability to design and document repeatable processes that improve team efficiency and allow for rapid experimentation.
Bonus: Experience deploying no-code or low-code systems for outbound marketing or BD at scale.
Experience in sales, business development, customer success, or partnerships is a significant plus.
Familiarity with the entertainment, comics, animation, gaming, or tech industries is a bonus but not required.
