Mobile App Validation Engineer

The Mobile App Validation Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining test activities for mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms. This role ensures application quality through both manual and automated testing, identifies defects, and works closely with developers and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance mobile solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications on Android and iOS
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing across multiple devices and operating systems
• Conduct manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and app releases
• Create, maintain, and run automated test suites using relevant frameworks
• Verify application compatibility, responsiveness, and performance under varying network and device conditions
• Identify, document, and track software defects using the organization’s issue-tracking system
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported issues
• Participate in team ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimation
• Maintain device lab or testing environment
• Provide test results and quality metrics to stakeholders
• Ensure mobile applications meet accessibility, usability, and security testing

• 2 – 5 years of experience in mobile application testing (manual and automated)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience testing applications built with React Native preferred
• Strong understanding of mobile application testing principles for Android and iOS
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools
• Proficiency with issue-tracking and test management tools
• Understanding of mobile-specific testing challenges (e.g., OS versions, permissions)
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated test execution
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
