Warehouse And Logistics Supervisor

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Import/Export Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs, Incoterms, etc.).
• Manage import/export documentation and customs clearance processes.
• Classify goods according to harmonized tariff schedules.
• Work closely with customs brokers to determine accurate tariff codes.
• Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve any import/export issues.
• Manage VAT compliance for incoming raw materials, outbound finished goods, and unused/scrap raw materials for disposal.
• Maintain accurate records for periodic/annual Customs inspections.
• Stay informed about international trade laws, tariffs, and customs regulations.

Shipping & Receiving:

• Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to meet shipping schedules and cost objectives.
• Manage documentation for domestic and international shipments including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
• Monitor and improve shipping accuracy and on-time delivery metrics.

Warehouse Operations:

• Manage daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure accurate inventory control processes through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Optimize warehouse layout, material handling, and workflow to support efficiency and space utilization.

Logistics Management:

• Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of transportation providers for both domestic and international shipments.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to reduce costs, improve service, and support business growth.
• Track and analyze KPIs for freight performance, cost control, and delivery reliability.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the team.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience
• 5+ years of experience managing warehouse and logistics operations in a global manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and global shipping practices.
• Proficient in ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis), Word (document preparation), and Teams (communication and collaboration).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.

• Fluent in English.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.

Working Conditions

Essential physical requirements

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer for long periods throughout the day.
• Able to actively participate in container loading/unloading and direct the loading team to oversee container loading/unloading.
• Able to effectively work in warehouse, factory, & office settings.
• Able to travel to outbound port or Customs as required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
