Your role
The Web Developer will provide specialized technical expertise by developing an e-commerce website prototype with the developed algorithm embedded within the prototype, ensuring its full functionality and integration.
Reports to: Project Lead
Project name: Design and development of robust digital watermarking algorithm for e-Commerce applications in Vietnam.
Key Accountabilities
Design, develop and deploy an interactive e-commerce website prototype.
Ensure integration of the developed algorithm within the prototype.
Implement user-friendly interfaces and secure authentication mechanisms.
Conduct testing and debugging to ensure system stability and performance.
Document system architecture and development processes.
Maintain version control and ensure reproducibility of the system.
Participate and provide technical updates in project meetings.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the project lead
Key Selection Criteria
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and/or PHP).
Proven experience in integrating third-party algorithms into web-based platforms.
Experience with database management, cloud-based storage solutions, and deployment on AWS platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to RMIT values and professional integrity.

Expected duration: 4 months
Workload: Part-time - 20 hours per week

English Proficiency
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).
