Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accuracy of all records in the General Ledger
- Interact with Group Finance for issue resolution on all relevant system issues
- Ensure balance sheet account management and reconciliation are effectively managed and timely report
- Monitor/control daily data and build up relevant master data that support for financial report purpose
- Oversee systems improvement impacting financial management systems and accounting processes, including the assessment, implementation and management of accounting software
- Ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements and external auditors
- Custodian for accounting rules, pre-processing and pre-mapping table value in Finance system
- Support business user during new/changes of any product implementation
- End to end from planning, determine test scopes, perform & execute User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for new products and system testing. Support financial verification of UAT results
- Conduct functional validation and regression test of system changes, including data transport from Data Warehouse to the financial system, to ensure defects/issues are raised & follow through and notify relevant teams immediately on all critical issues
- Work closely with business stakeholders, channels, product teams, and operations to ensure all specifications are designed in accordance to business requirements and GFMS
Job Specification
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance)
- At least 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting with 2 years in banking/financial institutions
- Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel, SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, tax (VAS, IFRS) and banking business
- Leverages regulatory, political and business contacts to shape/influence the business and regulatory environment in accounting book
- Strong presentation and influencing skills, required in guiding and assisting teams in executing accounting function
- Good English communication skill, both verbal and written
- Good time management skill
- Able to work independently and highly meticulous
